A Fire evacuation drill will be conducted next Tuesday. You may have noticed the new evacuation signs in the passage ways and foyer of the building. It is important to be familiar with the nearest stair exit and the location of the assembly area after you evacuate the building.
There are seven volunteer Fire Wardens who are residents in the building. In an emergency they are identified with a white hard hat and orange jacket. Their responsibility is to check that residents are proceeding to exit the building on instruction from the PA system. Any residents still remaining in the building will be reported to the Chief Warden who will be monitoring progress from the fire control room and liaising with the Metropolitan Fire Brigade.
